Over a width of nearly 2 km, almost 550 million cubic meters of water per minute cascade over the edge, at the height of the flood season, into the gorge 100 metres below. On the opposite cliff, facing the falls, you can take a walk through the ‘rain forest’ that results from the perpetual spray, with many amazing viewing spots - but don’t carry anything that you don’t want to get wet !
