The countdown has begun!
In Zurich in May 2004 FIFA announced that for the very first time the World Cup would be held in Africa & that South Africa was to host the event. Cue wild celebrations across the nation. Five years down the line the 32 qualifying teams are all confirmed and preparations for the 2010 FIFA World Cup tournament that kicks off on 11 June 2010, in Johannesburg, are nearly complete - the countdown has begun!
The England Matches
England's first three group games are on 12 June against USA in Rustenburg (near Johannesburg/Pretoria/Sun City), 18 June in Cape Town against Algeria & finally 23 June in Port Elizabeth versus Slovenia. If they qualify their next games will be in Rustenburg or Bloemfontein, and after that Johannesburg, Cape Town or Durban.
We are the specialists
We are specialists in travel to South Africa. So we say, don't travel with a company that is now offering South Africa for the first time just because of the World Cup, let one of the UK's leading specialist tour operators for South Africa assist you, namely US. We have the buying power, the infrastructure and perhaps most importantly for a trip to South Africa the expertise, the contacts & the knowledge.
Match Tickets
To order match tickets you can log on to FIFA.com, the official website of the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa, where fans can sign up for the FIFA.com Club for free. The 3rd and main ticketing sales phase starts on 05 December 2009 and finishes on 22 January 2010. You can order at any time during this period and a random draw will take place on 01 February 2010, where you will find out if you have been successful with your application. There will be two further sales periods after this, with the 4th running from 09 February to 07 April 2010. During this fourth period, tickets will be allocated based on the order in which the application is received and, of course, subject to availability. All information on ticket sales is available on FIFA.com.
Flight & Accommodation Packages
Of course once you have the match tickets you will need travel arrangements. Flights are available to book now (strongly recommended) and from 07 December 2009 onwards Africa Collection will be offering accommodation packages, specifically aimed at England fans and around the England match schedule. But also on a tailor-made basis for both England fans and fans from other countries. These will include safaris, adventure travel or just sitting and soaking up the scenery and atmosphere. To register your interest for these packages or for any enquiry relating to travel arrangements please contact us.

My husband and I returned from our trip to South Africa two weeks ago, and I thought I would write to tell you what a wonderful time we had. All the bookings and travel went without a hitch and the whole holiday was trouble free. Client comment
