Short on time but 'long' on experience !
Should you be pressed for time, a 3 or 4 night fly-in safari, combining Wolwedans and Sossusvlei might be the answer. The Dune-Hopper air-taxi departs daily from Windhoek and Swakopmund. Several fly-in tours staying at Wolwedans and a selection of lodges in the Sossusvlei area have been designed to make the concept of fly-in more accessible to a greater circle of nature lovers.
The Wolwedans Collection
The Wolwedans Collection are small safari camps aimed at nature lovers in search of a unique desert experience, off the beaten track and without pretence, with varying levels of comfort on offer. They urge you to share an amazing way of life, and the dream of conserving the nature they live in. The camps range from the seasonal and simple Dune Camp; the comfortable Dunes Lodge; the Private Camp; and the exclusive Mountain View Suite. Activities include scenic drives in open vehicles, nature walks with resident field guides, picnics in the wild, sundowners on the dunes and hot air ballooning.
These DuneHopper ‘modules’ can be extended or combined with other arrangements in Namibia.
