Rossouw's Restaurants

Rossouw’s Restaurants is your independent guide to the restaurants of Cape Town, the Winelands and a selection on the Garden Route. The guide is available in most book stores in South Africa but can be ordered from Africa Collection in the UK for £ 9.95 including P&P.

Since all reviews are made anonymously you can be sure of incisive, useful information and honest opinion. The editorial team has anonymously visited every restaurant to assess it and paid for their meal - none of the meals were sponsored by any of the establishments. Furthermore, diners themselves have contributed to the content, for added credibility.

Rating

In the guide book general descriptions of the restaurants are supplemented by a rating out of ten for ambience, food, service and the wine list to give you a detailed, useful impression of the restaurant. In addition, each restaurant is rated against its price-point peers, giving you a fair impression of value for money.

Every restaurant has been visited by the editor, Jean-Pierre Rossouw, who has been a restaurant reviewer for The Mail & Guardian (South Africa) as well as Food and Wine Editor for Condé Nast House and Garden (South Africa).

Additional features

You will also find further information about additional features the restaurant may have – such as views, vegetarian, family-friendly, etc. Maps are included at the back of the guide, and each restaurant has a map reference. In addition there is a handy area guide to see at a glance which restaurants are in specific areas, such as City, Camps Bay, Knysna.
