Quilalea, Mozambique Small Robinson Crusoe Coral

Quilálea is a small Robinson Crusoe coral and volcanic island in the pristine Quirimbas Archipelago off the northern Mozambique coast close to Pemba on the mainland. With the Baobab as its symbol, the island is covered with indigenous bush and has two small beaches, which offer ideal snorkelling close to the shore in the marine sanctuary.

Unspoilt reefs are home to turtles, dugongs and manta rays and Quilalea is an active holiday destination, where guests will enjoy scuba diving offshore as well as deep sea fishing and kayaking.

The Marine Pavilion is a fully equipped fishing and PADI dive centre. Visit the nearby historic island of Ibo for a morning or afternoon, where the shade of the old fort, craftsmen forges silver filigree jewellery or visit the larger island of Quirimbas with its coconut plantation.

Authentic Style of Muani People
