Since opening in 2005, Samara has built its name as an outstanding and dedicated South African conservation destination where guests enjoy magnificent Karoo landscapes and are able to slow down and allow tranquility to envelop their souls. 

Many guests have relaxed on the verandah at Samara, surrounded by a natural amphitheatre of mountains, and wished that this was home. It is with this wish in mind that The Manor at Samara opened.

This exclusive use residence for up to 8 guests, has four beautifully decorated luxury air-conditioned en suite bedrooms and views over an extraordinary Karoo mountain landscape. As you enter this romantic homestead, breathtaking views unfold over a 21-metre infinity pool which descends into a natural waterhole, where game may be spotted in the early morning and late afternoon.

The Manor is unique in its warm design which reflects the local landscape and traditions whilst retaining a lovely light contemporary twist, inspired by well-known South African designer John Zwiegelaar. Dine under stars, outdoors on the deep verandah or indoors in the elegant dining room, before sinking into bed to slumber peacefully in the sofest linen.
