Pristine beach excursions
Ibo Island lies in the stunning Quirimbas Archipelago in Northern Mozambique and was built in conjunction with the local community. Today the lodge offers pristine beach excursions, snorkelling, sea kayaking, dhow sailing, fantastic seafood, romance, simplicity and tranquility - sounds good eh?
Nine guest rooms
This fascinating lodge is set in 100 year old buildings with nine guest rooms designed to incorporate the architecture and style of the original buildings.
Wide verandas, with plantation style chairs, are a feature of these historic buildings and the perfect place to watch the dhow sail out on the high tides.
Coastal Retreat
The lodge is not a beach lodge per se, but more a coastal retreat. There is a daily Dhow service to a nearby Sandbank beach, but it is as much a cultural interaction and fascinating historial tours that are the attraction.
