Specialise in Walking Safaris
As their names suggest, these two operations specialise in walking safaris, both on private concessions within Kruger National Park:
Pafuri Walking Trail is a three-night, four-day walking trail in northern KrugerNational Park, in an area of exceptional bio diversity and spectacular scenery -there is no better way to explore this magnificent area than on foot.
Comfortable walk-in dome tents with separate hot bucket showers and 'eco-loos' accommodate a maximum of eight trailists. Operates 1 April-31 October.
Unique sleepouts in the wilderness
Rhino Walking Safaris operates from Rhino Plains Camp, a comfortable andtraditional tented camp in a private concession bordering the renowned Sabi Sand Game Reserve. This can be combined with their luxury Rhino Post Lodge for vehicular game drives and their unique Sleepouts in the wilderness(weather permitting).
At night, at both camps, lanterns and a crackling fire create a convivial atmosphere with a light eco-footprint; guests dine under the stars or in a mess tent. Using the campsite as a base, each day is spent walking in different parts of the surrounding area, led by experienced armed guides.
